The Photography Business Formula has been created by Melanie Powers (full-time photographer extraordinaire) and Myles Vives (the “nightlife photography guy” with the business skills). Together, they deliver a brilliant blend of photography, marketing and business information you won’t get anywhere else.

They started this photography business website to share the best ways they’ve found to make a huge income in the business of photography in the most efficient and effective way they know how. This website is not an ‘everything you need to know about photography’ blog. Rather, the focus is on the business of photography, how you can start a photography business, market properly, sell easily, and how you can make a good living, doing what you love – taking photos.

For years Melanie had a regular nine to five job, probably like you, but she was also running a photography business from her home, part-time. She started with a few small jobs and was able to build a loyal following. She met Myles at a fashion photo shoot, and they both connected. Myles is a successful businessman, and he decided to use his business and marketing experience to help Melanie. Together, they developed more interesting and profitable ways to take advantage of Melanie’s outstanding talent as a photographer. Eventually, Melanie’s clientele increased dramatically and her photography became so profitable that she decided to make it her full time career.
